The BakerNowicki Design Studio is committed to high performance and sustainable design practices that employ simple yet effective concepts that minimize environmental impacts, reduce operating costs, and maximize healthy environments. Sustainable design is an imperative, that when properly applied, yields a more habitable, aesthetic, and cost-effective architecture. It is said, “All the really important mistakes are made on the first day.” The greatest opportunity to influence the future environment is in the initial planning phases so that quality design decisions can deliver the best solutions.
Traditionally, the decision-making process has been based on the impact to Quality, Schedule and Cost components. With a focus on sustainable strategies, design decisions can address impacts to human comfort, energy efficiency, and lifecycle costs.
