PROJECT

Overview

MES places a strong focus on community involvement and student safety. Multi-story buildings were designed for outdoor circulation on the courtyard side of the campus for student security while reducing vehicular noise from adjacent streets.

Collaborative spaces are centered in villages of four classroom communities to promote cross grade level and curricular learning activities. Central courtyard areas allow easy supervision of students while providing convenient access to library, multipurpose, and administrative spaces.

The design theme is early western architecture to support the historic image of Old Poway.
