BREAKING NEWS – BakerNowicki Design Studio joins DLR Group.
Baker Nowicki Design Studio is excited to share with clients and design partners that we are joining DLR Group, an integrated design firm with offices in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Francisco, and Sacramento, and a total of 30 locations around the world. The combined experience and expertise of BNds and DLR Group provide a foundation to grow the leading education design practice in California.
Our design approach centers on the commitment to engage our clients fully in the creative process. To achieve this we employ a structured collaborative approach to programming, planning, and design through our Community Based Planning Symposium which is an intensive, interactive, on-site work session in which clients have the opportunity to work directly with the design team.
Every project is uniquely defined by its own special circumstances and often demands a solution that uniquely responds to those needs. We seek innovative solutions for common and challenging design problems to create facilities that will provide a memorable and positive experience for its users. This is achieved through experience and design leadership.
Our industry leading use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software combined with our techniques in the programming design, engineering of facilities, results in a process that promotes true Integrated Project Design on all of our projects.
We have advanced the concept of high performance and sustainable design practices by employing simple yet effective concepts that minimize environmental impacts, reduce operating costs, and maximize healthy environments. Our decisions now include impacts to human comfort, energy efficiency, and lifecycle costs.
