PROJECT

Overview

The Center for Children and Families is a facility for the care of children ranging in age from infants to five years old. The small scale of the building creates a safe and cozy environment. The twelve classrooms open directly to outdoor play areas – zoned according to age group. The outdoor playgrounds feature tricycle tracks, water and sand play areas, playground equipment, and quiet areas for group reading.

Each classroom has observation windows for use by parents and university education students. A commercial grade kitchen is provided for meal preparations as well as a kid’s demonstration kitchen where children can participate in the preparation.
